Using the transformational dynamics of the “Awakening Compass” and Archetypal Energies, you will learn how to elevate yourself from a stagnant place into new, creative vistas. This dymanic workshop will enliven your relationships with others as well as with yourself.During the Weekend you will:

• Target a Specific Question Pertaining to Your Life
• Gain Clarity
• Learn How to Prioritize
• Unleash Your Latent Creativity
• Remove Blockages and Clear the Way for Success
• Create a Personal Life Map using the “Awakening Compass”
• Spend a Weekend in an Intimate Setting
• Feast on Healthy, Gourmet Lunches
Schedule:
Friday Night: A discussion of the various Archetypes that we will be exploring during the weekend. You will be asked to consider 10-15 energies that resonate with you.
Saturday: Cast a Natal Chart, Work with the “Awakening Compass” to determine your prevailing wind, Lunch, Wind Meditation, Create a Vision Board representing your new map, and group sharing.
Saturday Evening: Group Dinner at local restaurant (self pay). Optional to return to watch a movie, rich with archetypical energy.
Sunday am: Continue to work with your individual questions, guided imagery, Q&A Group lunch.
About the Presenters
Renee Baribeau, the “Practical Shaman, ”is an accomplished mentor, respected business coach, dynamic spiritual teacher, speaker, and published author. Renee is well known for her no-nonsense, “tell it like it is” approach in helping others to achieve successful business practices. Her clients include entrepreneurs, CEO’s, movie producers, and celebrities.Renee is the principal at Holistic Helping Hands; a growing health and wellness chamber of commerce and virtual marketing portal based in Southern California.
Suzanne Fageol is a certified counselor and a Falling Awake life coach. She has also been a spiritual educator for over forty years. She is from the Caribbean and has lived, taught and practiced in Africa, Europe and England and currently lives on Whidbey Island.Early Registration $345 after 2/15 $395 This course is limited to 16 people.
There are many nearby hotels in all price ranges. Travel is easiest to Palm Spring International Airport. Ontario is 1 1/2 hours drive and LAX 21/2 hours.

Working with Sacred Plant Medicine – travelMay 22 – May 27 (all-day)
The Practical Shaman, Tools for Awakening presents Working with Sacred Plant Medicine, a journey to Mexico to work with indigenous medicine keeper Maria Teresa Valenzuela in her village of Tequisquiapan, Queretaro.
This will be an amazing cross-cultural experience and opportunity for healers and mystics from our group and from Mexico. You’ll explore traditional Curanderismo, traditional ceremonial lodge, herbal remedies, plant medicine and their practical, modern-day applications for your life. In addition to Maria Teresa Valenzuela the tour will be facilitated by Renee Baribeau and Rosario Sarria.
Our journey begins at the Hotel Catedral in the historic city center of Mexico City, in what was formerly the ancient Aztec capital of Tenochtitlan. The hotel offers amazing views of the Palacio Nacional, Plaza de la Constitución and the Aztec archeological site of Templo Mayor. The plaza, known as the “Zócalo” by locals, is big enough to hold 100,000 people and is world’s second largest, after Red Square in Moscow.
You will need to make your travel arrangements to be in Mexico City on Wednesday, May 21nd. We will enjoy free time to explore the city that evening.
We will begin our work together Thursday morning May 22th
As a group, we will go to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the national shrine on Tepeyac Hill in Mexico City. From there, we will travel by private, air-conditioned coach to Maria Teresa’s village of Tequisquiapan. Located two hours from the bustling city in the southeast of Queretaro, Mexico, we will here have four whole days of teaching and experiential ceremonies.
You will have the option of exploring various forms of plant medicine and herbal remedies. We will be working at Casa Gayatri and staying at a local hotel, called The Maridelfi, where our meals will be included.
We will visit hot springs and the fabulous artistic town of San Miguel de Allende.Our trip will conclude back in Mexico City on May 27, late in the afternoon. You may plan your departure for May 27 after 3pm or late in the evening on May 29. We provide hotel rooms from May 21 to the 27th. We can organize your additional room nights
Total cost of trip includes:
• Lodging from May 21– May 27 (double occupancy)
• Some meals as outlined in itinerary
• Teaching, Lodges, Medicine Work
• All ground transportation
• Entrance tickets to schedule toursCost for the Trip:
• Save $400. Register by 9/30/13 $2,111 ($500 non-refundable deposit will be required to hold your place)
• After 10/11/13 the price will increase to $2,544.
• Single supplement $600The trip is limited to 12 people. The trip is open to men and women.
About the Presenters
Maria Teresa Valenzuela is an indigenous spiritual teacher and healer from an enduring lineage of shamanic healers and curanderos in the Sierra Madre of Chihuahua, Mexico. Maria Teresa conducts spiritual workshops, retreats, and individual healing work using indigenous healing methods and visionary medicine plants.
Renee uses both Energy and Process to assist you in reaching your goals. Utilizing her shamanic training and her western personal healing, she is able to track and locate your deepest blocks to wellness. She is then able to assist in your healing journey using energy to facilitate the experience and process to reinforce your positive change. She holds the space for the process of healing to occur by synchronizing with her clients and raising their vibrations, thus creating resonance with a new field. Her ability to track into the core issue is at the heart of every process.
Rosario Sarria is a Traditional Temascalera (traditional sweat lodge guide) who was born in Lima, Peru but presently lives in Mexico with her Mexican husband and three children. In Lima, Peru she started her spiritual path under the guidance of two ayahuasqueros, Alonso Del Rio and Diego Palma, with the medicine plant ayahuasca. She further unfolded her spiritual path as a devotee, in the lineages of Sri Krishna and Sathya Sai Baba.
She is also involved in the spiritual practice called the Santo Daime (works with ayahuasca). She has a Healing Center in Tequisquiapan, Queretaro, Republica Mexico where she lives. The Center hosts many traditional elders and their healing ceremonies. The Center is also a place where traditional healing modalities take place—especially in support of women.
